Young British newcomers Sundara Karma recently released their debut album, Youth Is Only Ever Fun In Retrospect, via Bee & El/Sony RAL in the U.S. and RCA in the UK. The LP’s lead single “Loveblood” has already reached Top 40 at U.S. Alternative Radio, while follow up “She Said” is making a splash in the UK, spending four weeks on the ‘B List’ at Radio 1 and reaching Top 100 at Shazam.
The upcoming LP’s songs have already have hit 10+ million streams on Spotify.
"Youth Is Only Ever Fun In Retrospect has them aiming to right where their anthemic indie belongs - this is a record made for the cavernous expanse of Brixton Academy, fancy light show in tow, chant-a-long choruses guaranteed" - DIY
In support of their LP, Sundara Karma made their debut at UK's biggest music festival, Reading & Leeds 2016, and co-headlined a run of U.S. dates on the first ever BBC Music Presents U.S. tour, plus will join Two Door Cinema Club on their January-February UK tour.
Youth Is Only Ever Fun In Retrospect captures Sundara Karma's panoramic sound and brooding romanticism with soaring indie rock choruses, and lyrics exploring loneliness, love and artistic tension.
The album was recorded in London and Berlin and was produced by Hundred Reasons' Larry Hibbitt.
